Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia presents credentials to OIC Secretary-General
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Nodirjon Turgunov, has officially presented his credentials to Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Alongside his ambassadorial duties, Turgunov will serve as Uzbekistan’s Permanent Representative to the OIC.
During the meeting, both parties discussed pressing matters of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OIC, emphasizing the importance of deepening collaboration across various sectors. The dialogue highlighted Uzbekistan's commitment to strengthening its ties within the OIC framework.
Nodirjon Turgunov has led Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia since March 2024. Prior to this role, he served as Uzbekistan’s Consul General in Jeddah from 2021 to 2024.

Uzbekistan became a full-fledged member of the OIC on October 2, 1996, actively contributing to the organization's initiatives aimed at fostering unity and development among Islamic nations.
