Uzbekistan’s first ambassador to Croatia presents credentials to President Milanović
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Croatia, Oybek Shakhavdinov, formally presented his credentials to Croatian President Zoran Milanović during an official ceremony. The ambassador is based in Budapest, Hungary, and oversees diplomatic relations with Croatia from there.
Following the ceremony, Ambassador Shakhavdinov and President Milanović held a discussion focused on enhancing Uzbek-Croatian relations. Both sides emphasized their mutual commitment to expanding cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade, economic collaboration, and investment.
The talks also highlighted a shared interest in advancing partnerships across various sectors of mutual benefit, signaling a strong intent to deepen bilateral ties.
Shakhavdinov was appointed Uzbekistan’s first ambassador to Croatia in October this year. Back then, he presented copies of his credentials to Croatia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, laying the groundwork for formal diplomatic representation.
