Iran’s Mazandaran province expresses readiness for regional cooperation with Uzbekistan
During a visit by Uzbekistan's Ambassador Fariddin Nasriyev to Iran's Mazandaran province, discussions were held with the region's governor, Mehdi Younesi Rostami, on enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
The meeting focused on elevating interregional ties between the two nations, particularly in trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchanges. Governor Rostami highlighted that the collaboration between Iran and Uzbekistan has significantly improved in recent years due to the political will of their leaders.
Both sides acknowledged the vast potential for expanding cooperation in areas such as commerce, industry, agriculture, and tourism. The governor expressed optimism about leveraging this potential to strengthen the partnership further.
The parties exchanged views on actionable plans to deepen cooperation in these fields. Key agreements included organizing reciprocal visits for business representatives from both countries and hosting joint trade exhibitions to facilitate economic and cultural ties.
