Mirziyoyev discusses regional cooperation with presidents of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan

Discussion with the President of Kazakhstan
On March 18, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The parties discussed pressing issues related to the further development and strengthening of the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan strategic partnership and alliance.
The importance of taking coordinated measures to increase trade, promote industrial cooperation, and advance joint projects in transport, energy, agriculture, and other sectors, including at the regional level, was emphasized.
The leaders highly praised the joint cultural and humanitarian events currently taking place in Kazakh cities. They also reviewed the agenda of upcoming high-level bilateral and multilateral events, including preparations for the "Central Asia Plus" summit.
Phone conversation with the President of Tajikistan
On the same day, President Mirziyoyev also held a phone conversation with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Special attention during the talks was given to the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level. The importance of maintaining active political dialogue, supporting cooperative projects in key economic sectors, and intensifying cultural, humanitarian, and interregional exchange programs was highlighted.
The sides also discussed preparations for the upcoming trilateral meeting in Tajikistan at the end of March and the "Central Asia Plus" summits scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan in April-May this year.
Talks with the President of Kyrgyzstan
Discussions with Sadyr Japarov focused on implementing high-level agreements, particularly those related to trade, industrial cooperation, logistics, energy, agriculture, tourism, and other priority areas of mutually beneficial collaboration.
The parties emphasized the importance of accelerating major regional projects aimed at developing transport, transit, and energy infrastructure.
Additionally, the presidents discussed preparations for the upcoming high-level trilateral meeting, as well as the "Central Asia - EU" summit and the Climate Forum set to take place in Samarkand.
