A letter circulating online outlines this requirement, citing compliance with the Law “On the State Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan.” According to the letter, all department heads and employees are expected to know the anthem by heart and perform it correctly and in an inspiring manner.

The directive also states that each department head is personally responsible for ensuring timely and effective implementation of this task. It further warns that failure to comply will be reflected in the performance evaluations of the employees, as it will be considered a key performance indicator.

The task will be considered completed only after each employee uploads a video recording of themselves performing the national anthem to the electronic platform “edo.ijro.uz” within one month.

As of now, the Ministry has not issued any official statement on its websites or social media pages regarding the matter.

For reference, the lyrics and music of Uzbekistan’s national anthem were officially approved on December 10, 1992, under the Law “On the State Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”

The national anthem is a symbol of Uzbekistan’s sovereignty, and showing deep respect for it is regarded as a patriotic duty of every citizen.
