Abdulaziz Kamilov accepts Credentials of Cypriot ambassador
On November 6, 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received Leonidas Markidis, the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus with residence in Moscow.
Accepting the credentials of the Ambassador, the Minister congratulated him on the start of the diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan and wished him fruitful work.
During the conversation, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for development of Uzbek-Cypriot relations, paying particular attention to strengthening and further developing cooperation in promising areas.
The parties also reviewed the progress of joint work on expanding the legal framework of relations, noting their interest in preparing and signing bilateral agreements on cooperation in the trade and economic, investment, transport and communications fields, as well as in the spheres of culture, education, science and sports.
