Uzbekistan to create list of 100 books to be read in 2019

Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a Decree “On additional measures to improve the effectiveness of spiritual and educational work”.

The above decree approved a program of measures to further improve the effectiveness of spiritual and educational work, develop intellectual potential and outlook, and strengthen the ideological immunity of the population. Within the framework of the program, the “Festival of Spirituality” and the contest “The Most Active Propaganda of the Spirituality of the Year” will be held in Uzbekistan.

In addition, a list of 100 books to be read this year will be created in the country. According to the resolution, it is planned to organize reading of these works on local TV and radio channels by popular leaders and representatives of the intelligentsia, preparing commercials, carrying out publishing propaganda work, and conducting wide-range campaigs on social networks.
