Ambassador of Qatar hands over his credentials to Abdulaziz Kamilov
On June 7, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar with residence in Teheran, Mohammed Ben Hamad Al-Hajri.
After accepting his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of activities in Uzbekistan and wished him fruitful work to strengthen bilateral ties.
In the course of the conversation, the parties discussed promising areas for the development of Uzbek-Qatari relations, noting the significant potential in trade, economic, investment, tourism, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.
The parties spoke in favor of holding the first meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission in the second half of the year.
The sides also exchanged views on some regional and international issues.
