Relatives of a car owner don’t need to issue a power of attorney to operate vehicle from October 1

On the portal of discussing normative-legal acts, a draft presidential decree “On measures for fundamental reforming of the notarial system in the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been published.

According to the document, from October 1, Uzbekistan can cancel a power of attorney to drive a car for close relatives (parents, spouses, children and brothers and sisters).

It should be noted that currently a citizen must issue a notarial permission from the owner of the car in order to obtain a right to operate the vehicle.
