Foreign Minister Kamilov receives newly appointed Ambassador of India
On July 26, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India Santosh Jha, the MFA press service said.
Accepting copies of credentials, the Minister welcomed the Ambassador of India and congratulated him on his appointment to a high and responsible post, and wished him fruitful work.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations.
The sides noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of mutually beneficial contacts between Uzbekistan and India. It was emphasized that the state visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to India in 2018 and participation in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in January this year became landmark of bilateral cooperation.
The Minister and the Ambassador also exchanged views on the schedule of upcoming meetings of Uzbekistan – India interaction institutions, and other joint events.
