US Ambassador congratulates people of Uzbekistan on Day of the State Language (video)

Today, October 21, Uzbekistan celebrates the 30th anniversary of the State Language Day in the Republic.

On the threshold of independence, the issue of granting legal status to the official language at the initiative and under the leadership of first President Islam Karimov was put on the agenda and October 21, 1989 the special law “On the State Language of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted. Since then, every year October 21 is widely celebrated in our country as the Day of the State Language.

On this special day, the US Ambassador to Uzbekistan Daniel Rosenblum congratulated the people of the country on the holiday in the Uzbek language. The congratulatory message was posted on the official Facebook page of the embassy.
