Funds allocated from state budget for prosecutor’s office to considerably increase in 2021

On December 26, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law “On the State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2021”.

The document determines the approximate costs of maintaining public authorities, administration, justice, prosecutors, courts and self-government bodies of citizens, as well as NGOs and other institutions of civil society.

According to the law, 1.375 trillion soums will be allocated for the maintenance of the prosecutor’s office, and 146 billion soums for the judiciary system.

For comparison, in 2020, the prosecutor’s office received 869 billion soums from the state budget.
