Alcohol poisoning kills 2 in Namangan
In the Turakurgan district, Namangan region, 12 people were hospitalized with a diagnosis of acute poisoning, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General’s Office Hayot Shamsutdinov said.
It was noted that on December 29-31, 2020, these citizens consumed the alcoholic beverage “Gradusnik”, made in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Despite the necessary medical care provided by doctors, 2 of them died.
A criminal case has been filed by the Turakurgan district prosecutor’s office under the relevant article of the Criminal Code.
An investigation is underway, the statement said.
