Kindergarten officials embezzle nearly 1 billion soums in Zangiota
The director of a kindergarten in the Zangiota district, together with other employees, embezzled state funds by allegedly allotting salaries to 37 people who actually didn’t work there.

The Zangiota district Department for Combatting Economic Crimes and the Ministry of Preschool Education conducted an inspection at kindergarten No. 16 in the district, the press services of the department reported.
The investigation revealed that the director of the kindergarten, together with other employees, allegedly hired 37 people in 2014-2020. In reality, no such people worked in the establishment. The kindergarten officials falsified documents and looted 983.5 million soums of budget funds.
Four of the 37 people were close relatives of the director.
A criminal case has been initiated against the director of the kindergarten and others under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
