COVID-19: Uzbekistan's total officially registered cases surpasses 215 thousand
On January 23, 1,296 people were diagnosed with coronavirus in Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Health reported that the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 215,063 (+1,296).
Reportedly, 493 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 63 – in Karakalpakstan, 55 – in Andijan, 70 – in Bukhara, 41 – in Jizzakh, 30 – in Kashkadarya, 20 – in Navoi, 57 – in Namangan, 35 – in Samarkand, 23 – in Syrdarya, 41 – in Surkhandarya, 178 – in Fergana, 38 – in Khorezm and 152 – in Tashkent region.
2 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, bringing the official death toll to 1,542.
As of January 23, the number of recovered stands at 204,217 (+942).
Also, 172 people tested positive for pneumonia on Sunday.
