Fergana to start producing electric cars
In a small industrial zone located on the territory of a mechanical plant in Fergana, the Central Asia Motors enterprise is launching a new project.

Khokim of the Fergana region Khayrulla Bozorov got acquainted with the phased implementation of production for the manufacture of spare parts for electric vehicles, cars and trucks. The cost of the project is $50 million, of which $5 million are funds of the entrepreneur and a bank loan, and $40 million are direct foreign investments.
The production of 10 thousand electric vehicles per year will be launched, 40% of them are planned to be exported. More than 350 jobs will be created. The production of bodies for electric vehicles, spare parts for batteries, and charging stations will also be localized.
The Director General of the enterprise Bakhodir Akhmedov provided information about the workshops for the assembly and testing of electric vehicles, production processes. He informed that the production process for the production of electric vehicles will begin by the end of this year.
The regional khokim supported the entrepreneur’s proposal to implement the Aqua Park construction project on the territory of the eco-town and a playground for children.
