Uzbekistan ranks 7th among CIS countries in terms of population’s housing provision
This figure in our country is 18.2 square meters per inhabitant. This is one of the three lowest rates among the Commonwealth states.
According to the State Statistics Committee, as of January 1, 2022, the indicator of housing provision in our republic averaged 18.2 square meters of total living space per inhabitant.
This figure increased by 2.2 square meters compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
As of January 1, 2022, the level of housing provision in the CIS countries (on average square meters of total living space per inhabitant):
• Moldova – 34.3 sq. m.
• Armenia – 33.9 sq. m.
• Belarus – 28.9 sq. m.
• Russia – 27.8 sq. m.
• Kazakhstan – 23.2 sq. m.
• Azerbaijan – 20 sq. m.
• Uzbekistan – 18.2 sq. m.
• Kyrgyzstan – 13 sq. m.
• Tajikistan – 10.9 sq. m.
