Deputy prime ministers cannot take other leadership positions while in office – presidential decree
The presidential decree states that starting from January 1, 2023, deputy prime ministers will not be able to simultaneously hold ministerial or other leadership positions, as well as directly supervise them.
The document also notes that the staff positions in the executive structure of the Cabinet of Ministers will be reduced from the current 269 to 120.
The Apparatus of the Cabinet of Ministers, consisting of secretariats, departments and subdivisions subordinate to them, is abolished.
Instead, a secretariat of the prime minister is being created, which will deal with legal, organizational, technical, informational, analytical and protocol aspects of the PM’s activities.
