Jakhongir Artikhodjayev loses his parliamentary powers
Former governor of Tashkent city Jakhongir Artikhodjayev filed an application for termination of his deputy powers, a Kun.uz source in the government reported.
According to him, the city council made the relevant decision today, January 27. This session became known on January 20.
Then, the former deputy of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, Rasul Kusherbayev, said that during the session, Jakhongir Artikhodjayev could be deprived of his deputy powers.
The source clarified that the former governor of Tashkent city, Jakhongir Artikhodjayev, himself filed an application for termination of his deputy powers.
Earlier, social networks circulated information that law enforcement agencies could have detained the former governor of Tashkent at the capital’s airport.
At the same time, open sources point to the fact that Jakhongir Artikhodjayev is still a Senate member. In turn, the senator enjoys immunity during his term of office.
