Uzbek language and literature teachers with a national certificate to be paid 50% bonus

At an extended meeting of the Republican Council for Spirituality and Enlightenment, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that next year special attention will be paid to increasing the prestige of the Uzbek language as the state language.

The President emphasized that teachers teaching Uzbek language and literature will be paid fairly on a par with teachers of other subjects who have international certificates.

Therefore, teachers of Uzbek language and literature who have a national certificate will be paid a 50% salary increase starting from the next academic year.

Along with this, it was decided to hold an international Olympiad in the Uzbek language, award the winners and prize-winners with cash prizes, and also admit them to universities in the field of philology of the Uzbek language on the basis of a state grant.

The President also ordered the development of measures to increase the salaries of teachers of music and art schools, as well as to cover the utility costs of these schools from the budget.

In general, as the head of state said, salaries for workers in the sphere of culture and art, libraries and museums will be increased by 20% from April 1, 2024 and to 15% from January 1, 2025.
