Uzbekistan eyes to increase the level of early detection of diseases to 70%
Annual medical examination of 9 million children of pre-school educational institutions and high school students is planned.
It is planned to increase the level of early detection of diseases in Uzbekistan to 70%. This is defined in the plan of practical activities for 2024-2026 of the “Public health – 2030” national strategy.
It is noted that every year 6.7 million people aged 40 and older undergo preventive examinations in order to determine the risk of the most common cardiovascular, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.
Every year, 12.6 million people aged 18-40 are expected to undergo preventive examinations.
It is also planned to conduct medical examinations of 9 million children of pre-school educational institutions and high school students every year.
In order to detect oncological diseases in the early stages, 3 million people are screened annually.
