Turkish Warboots plans to invest $50 million in military footwear production in Uzbekistan

The project will be implemented in the Akhangaran small industrial zone.

The Turkish company Warboots plans to invest $50 million in the production of military footwear in Uzbekistan, Uzcharmsanoat reports.

At a forum in Bursa, Türkiye, representatives of the association and its member leather and footwear companies agreed with local enterprises to produce goods under Turkish brands. There are also plans to supply footwear to Türkiye based on outsourcing.

Companies San+One and KFK with the brand Gratto explored the possibility of opening joint production in Uzbekistan and exporting products to Italy and the CIS countries. Initially, the products will be manufactured in Türkiye, but in the future, part of the capacities is planned to be relocated to the republic.

Warboots intends to produce specialized footwear on an eight-hectare site in the Akhangaran small industrial zone. Initially, the company will invest $15 million.

After the launch of the factory, footwear exports are expected to reach $700 million, and the enterprise will create over 4,000 jobs. In March, representatives of the Turkish company will visit Uzbekistan to become familiar with land plots and local production capabilities.

The Turkish brand Myfit is considering placing orders for the production of its products on an outsourcing basis at Uzbek enterprises. The companies have already reached preliminary agreements on creating sample models of products and supplying raw materials.

Magna Sport and Bursa Eldiven Sanayi have agreed on the production of gloves needed for the industry and construction.

In March, the parties will sign an agreement on product exports and discuss the possibility of creating new joint production a month later.
