Damas runs over a first-grader in Shakhrisabz
The car hit a boy crossing the road and dragged him several meters. The victim died in the hospital. If the driver is found guilty, he faces imprisonment for up to 7 years.
In Shakhrisabz, a schoolboy died after he was hit by a Damas car and dragged under it for several meters. As the press service of the Kashkadarya regional traffic police department reported, the incident occurred on April 19, 2024.
The driver, citizen K.M., was driving along the 4K-307 Shakhrisabz-Miraki highway and hit a schoolboy who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing on Fusunkor Street in the city of Shakhrisabz.
As a result, the boy received serious injuries and died in hospital. According to the report, the investigative department of the Shakhrisabz city DIA has opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code.
The message does not contain information about the preventive measure applied against the Damas driver.
According to part two of Article 266 of the Criminal Code, if a violation of road safety rules results in the death of a person, the perpetrator is punishable by deprivation of certain rights and freedoms for up to 7 years.
