Uzbekistan and Ireland discuss promising areas for expanding cooperation
Yesterday, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan in London Ravshan Usmanov held a meeting via videoconferencing with the Director of the European Neighbourhood Unit of the Irish Foreign Ministry, Dearbhla Doyle.
During the conversation, the Irish side was provided with detailed information about large-scale measures being implemented in New Uzbekistan in all areas.
The parties exchanged views on the prospects for further development of Uzbek-Irish cooperation.
In particular, special attention was paid to the issues of intensifying bilateral political dialogue and cooperation within international organizations, expanding inter-parliamentary relations, diversifying relationships in the trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as strengthening cultural-humanitarian cooperation.
The parties agreed to continue diplomatic relations in order to discuss practical measures to realize the existing potential for expanding cooperation in the above areas.
