Uzbekistan and the UK agree to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation following high-level meeting
Uzbekistan's Ambassador, Ravshan Usmanov, met with Baroness Uddin, a member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan and the country's achievements in political, economic, social, and cultural development, as well as the preparation process for the upcoming elections to representative bodies of power.
Baroness Uddin highly praised the renewal and changes taking place in Uzbekistan and noted that London is interested in expanding relations with Tashkent in all areas.
The parties exchanged views on further expanding inter-parliamentary relations between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue practical cooperation to further enhance interaction between the two countries.
