“I welcome the new players to our team and say, ‘Welcome to the City family.’ I’m glad they have joined us. They are young and motivated, and they will stay with the team for many years to come. Khusanov played in France. He has excellent physical attributes, and we hope he learns English as quickly as possible. As for Reis, he is a talented young Brazilian footballer,” said Guardiola.
It should be noted that 20-year-old Uzbek defender Abdukodir Khusanov joined Manchester City from French club Lens in a €40 million transfer. He has become the first Uzbek player in the Premier League and will wear jersey number 45.
Earlier it was reported that Khusanov would earn €3.5 million a year at Manchester City, making him the highest-paid Uzbek football player.
