World Cup 2026 qualifiers: Uzbekistan faces Kyrgyz Republic tonight

Today, March 20, the Uzbekistan national football team will play its 7th match in the third stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The team will take on the Kyrgyz Republic national football team on home turf. The match is scheduled to kick off at 9:00 PM Tashkent time at the Bunyodkor Stadium.
As a reminder, in the previous round, Timur Kapadze’s squad secured a 1-0 victory in an away match against the DPRK (North Korea) team.
For context, in the same group, group leaders Iran, who are currently ahead of Uzbekistan, will host the UAE, a team closely trailing Uzbekistan in the standings. At present, the Uzbekistan national team is in second place in the group with 13 points. Iran leads the group with 16 points, while the UAE, in pursuit of Uzbekistan, holds third place with 10 points.
