This decision is part of a presidential decree titled “On measures to sharply increase tourist flow and rapidly expand the scope of tourism services in 2025–2026 in order to enhance the role and significance of tourism in the national economy.”

The decree sets the following key targets for the tourism sector to be achieved by the end of 2025:

  • Attracting 15.8 million foreign tourists to different regions of the country and increasing tourism service exports to $4 billion;
  • Promoting domestic tourism to facilitate the travel of 40 million local tourists across the country;
  • Launching an additional 378 tour operators.

Under the new regulation, starting June 1, 2025, citizens of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Sultanate of Oman will be able to enter Uzbekistan without a visa for a stay of up to 30 days.

Additionally, from 2025 onward, regional tourism development programs will be drafted annually by November 30 for the following year.

Also beginning in 2025, the third week of November will be designated as International Tourism Week every year.

Starting in June 2025, the second Saturday and Sunday of each month will be designated as “Family and Group Travel Days” as part of the “Travel Across Uzbekistan!” program.
