Uzbek-Tajik meeting of intergovernmental commission for trade-economic cooperation is postponed
The meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, scheduled for mid-December, is postponed to the first quarter of the coming year, “AP” reported referring to the source in the economic block of the Tajik government.
“The reason for postponing the meeting is that today there are no disputable issues between Tashkent and Dushanbe. Relations between the countries are developing intensively,” the source emphasized.
According to the Tajik Statistics Agency, the volume of trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan amounted to over $ 218 million in the past nine months of 2018. It is 2.4 times more than the same period last year. In this period, Tajikistan supplied goods worth $ 126.2 million to Uzbekistan and imported goods from Uzbekistan worth $ 91.7 million.
