Abdulaziz Kamilov receives the newly appointed Ambassador of Austria
On December 18, 2018, Abdulaziz Kamilov, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria with residence in Vienna Alois Kraut, the press service of the Ministry reported.
Accepting his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his new post.
During the conversation, the parties noted the dynamic and progressive nature of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Austria.
Abdulaziz Kamilov noted Austria’s successful EU presidency, which ends on December 31.
The meeting confirmed the mutual interest in expanding direct ties between representatives of the business circles of Uzbekistan and Austria, including through exchanges of visits and holding joint business forums.
The parties, as emphasized, attach great importance to cultural and humanitarian cooperation. In this context, opening the first joint faculty of Applied Sciences at Tashkent State University of Economics, is hailed as the landmark of bilateral contacts in the sphere of education.
