Uzbekistan begins mandatory registration of electric motorcycles and scooters
Uzbekistan has started mandatory state registration of electric motorcycles and scooters.

The government has adopted a decree on amendments and additions to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On improvement of the procedure for state registration and issuance of state registration plates for motor vehicles”, which states that motor vehicles with an engine capacity of 50 cubic centimeters or a maximum design speed of 50 kilometers or more per hour are now subject to registration by the State Traffic Safety Service.
In addition, electric vehicles with an engine capacity of 4 kW or more or a maximum design speed of 40 km per hour or more (electric motorcycles and scooters), trailers and semi-trailers are subject to mandatory state registration.
