UzAuto Motors to establish a production plant in Tajikistan
On June 9, within the framework of the first Uzbek-Tajik interregional investment forum in Bokhtar, an agreement was signed on the establishment of a joint venture Auto Motors Tajikistan for the production of UzAuto Motors cars.
The relevant agreement was signed between Alyuminsokhtmon OJSC of Tajikistan and Avtosanoat Invest LLC.
The project will be implemented within the framework of agreements reached during the visit of the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir to Uzbekistan on April 21, 2021, Uzavtosanoat website reports.
To implement the project, a working group of Uzavtosanoat JSC visited Tajikistan on May 5-7, 2021 to study the production capacity of the partner company Alyuminsokhtmon and hold talks on the JV establishment.
At the initial stage, the production capacity of the project will be 10,000 cars, and in the future it is planned to increase to 35,000 units.
In March 2019, the countries launched a joint automotive project – TALCO-KRANTAS Special Equipment Plant. It is the first company in Tajikistan to produce trucks and special equipment.
