More than 2 million Uzbeks traveled abroad for tourist purposes in H1 2023

During the reporting period, most of the visits were to neighboring Kyrgyzstan – 815.4 thousand and Tajikistan – 520.7 thousand. The top-3 also included Kazakhstan – 337.7 thousand.

Among other countries not bordering Uzbekistan, Russia leads in terms of travels by citizens of Uzbekistan with 94 thousand people visiting this country over the past six months, followed by Türkiye (75.7 thousand) and the UAE (64.5 thousand).

Also, 34.5 thousand Uzbeks visited Saudi Arabia, 20.8 thousand Kuwait, 12.2 thousand Egypt and 9.1 thousand Azerbaijan in H1 2023.
