Head Oliy Majlis Legislative Chamber office appointed 

Mahmud Istamov was appointed head of the office of Oliy Majlis Legislative Chamber. Information about this appeared on the Legislative Chamber website.

Mahmud Istamov is 45 years old, he is a graduate of the Tashkent State Law University. In 2004-2005, he worked as the head of the Legal Information Center under the Ministry of Justice, and in 2005-2006 – as the head of the department of the Center for Monitoring Implementation of Regulatory-Legal Documents under the Ministry of Justice.

In 2006-2017, he worked in various positions in the Presidential Administration. In 2017-2019, he worked in the positions of Deputy Minister of Justice and First Deputy. In the summer of 2019, he was elected deputy chairman of the Central Election Commission.

For information, Mahmud Istamov was appointed to the position of prosecutor of Bukhara region in January 2021, and was released from this position in February 2024.
