Uzbekistan assumes chairmanship in field of tourism in OIC
The chairmanship of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in the field of tourism has been transferred from Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan.
At the meeting of the tourism ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which is taking place in Khiva, gratitude was expressed to Uzbekistan for preparing to host the international event. The reforms carried out in the country to develop tourism received special recognition.
Confidence was expressed that under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan, effective projects and initiatives in the field of tourism cooperation between member states of the organization, including “green” and sustainable tourism, “smart” tourism, tourism logistics and other areas, will be implemented.
